Meet Lucy, Ethel & Ricky – Three Young Danes Looking for a Second Chance!
Meet Lucy, Ethel, and Ricky! These three beautiful young Great Danes found themselves at Irving Animal Services after being picked up as strays. At just nine months old, they should be enjoying puppyhood, learning new things, and discovering the world alongside loving families. Instead, they're waiting in a shelter, hoping someone will give them the second chance they deserve.
Their stray hold expired on October 9, and they are now in need of rescue placement or loving forever homes.
While we don't yet have detailed information about their personalities, one thing is certain: these three are still very much puppies, with their whole lives ahead of them.
At approximately 65 pounds each, Lucy, Ethel, and Ricky are already growing into their giant-breed frames. Their future families should be prepared for the size, training, exercise, and commitment that come with raising a Great Dane.
Meet the Trio
Lucy – Female, 9 Months Old
Lucy is a young Great Dane girl who deserves the opportunity to grow up surrounded by love, patience, and stability. At just nine months old, she has so much learning and growing left to do. She's looking for someone willing to give her the guidance and care every young dog deserves.
Ethel – Female, 9 Months Old
Sweet Ethel is another beautiful young Dane hoping to leave shelter life behind. Like Lucy, she is only nine months old and weighs approximately 65 pounds. She needs a family who understands the responsibilities of raising a giant-breed puppy and is ready to help her blossom into a wonderful adult companion.
Ricky – Male, 9 Months Old
Ricky is the handsome boy of the group! At nine months old and approximately 65 pounds, he still has plenty of growing ahead of him. Ricky deserves a chance to experience life beyond the shelter, with a family committed to providing the training, attention, and stability he needs.

Three Young Lives, Three Opportunities to Make a Difference
Lucy, Ethel, and Ricky have barely begun their lives, yet they have already experienced the uncertainty of being homeless.
They deserve the chance to grow up in safe, loving environments where they can receive proper veterinary care, consistent training, and the companionship they need to thrive.
We are seeking foster or adoptive homes for Lucy, Ethel, and Ricky. They do not need to be placed together, and individual homes would give each dog the opportunity to receive the attention and guidance they deserve.
If you have room in your home and heart for a young Great Dane, please consider stepping forward.
