BISHOP
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Bishop has less than 24 hours to find a safe place to land. He urgently needs a committed foster or adopter to save his life.
After a week of trying to confirm his deadline, we were finally notified that Bishop must be out of the shelter by Sunday, October 11. We have almost no time to find a solution for this handsome boy.
Bishop is a 4½-year-old, 105-pound Great Dane mix with a beautiful black-and-white coat and so much life left to live.
He was surrendered to the shelter by his breeder following a reported bite incident involving a child and a piece of cheese. According to the information provided, Bishop attempted to grab the cheese from the child's hand, leaving a small red mark. While any bite incident must be taken seriously, we believe Bishop deserves an opportunity for further evaluation in an appropriate environment.
Despite the circumstances that brought him to the shelter, Bishop has been described as calm in his kennel, attentive, playful, and friendly with people. He also appears to be dog-friendly!
And here's something that makes Bishop especially unique: this clever boy has figured out how to open doors with lever-style handles! His future family will need to be mindful of his impressive problem-solving skills.
