Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment, providing each dog with the comprehensive medical care and individualized rehabilitation they need to heal and thrive. Through our experienced and compassionate foster home program, every Dane is given time, structure, and love while we carefully prepare them for placement in a qualified, permanent home where they can enjoy the quality of life they have always deserved.
We remain committed to our dogs for as long as it takes.
In addition to rescue and rehabilitation, we work to prevent suffering before it begins. As resources allow, we assist owners who cannot afford spay/neuter services or heartworm treatment. Education is a cornerstone of our mission — promoting responsible ownership through guidance on vaccinations, nutrition, behavior, obedience training, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We also advocate against backyard breeding and collaborate with fellow rescues and breed clubs to create a stronger, united effort in protecting Great Danes everywhere.
Since 2013, we have dedicated our hearts, homes, and resources to saving these misunderstood and often overlooked gentle giants. They may be large in size, but they are deeply sensitive souls who deserve safety, dignity, and unwavering advocacy.
It is our promise to be their voice.
You can help us continue this life-saving work by donating, contributing items from our wish list, volunteering your time, or opening your heart and home as a foster family.
“Saving one until there are none.”

How We Help Great Danes
Rescue & Rehabilitation
We rescue Great Danes and Dane mixes from neglect, abuse, abandonment, and crisis situations, giving them a safe, structured environment where they can decompress, heal, and begin again.
Comprehensive Medical Care
Every dog receives the veterinary care they need to regain health and stability, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm treatment when necessary, and microchipping.
Training & Socialization
Through consistent structure, positive reinforcement, and real-world socialization, we prepare our Danes to transition successfully into permanent homes with confidence.
Foster-Based Care
Our dogs live in experienced, loving foster homes — not kennels — where they are treated like family while we learn their personalities, needs, and ideal home environments.
Thoughtful, Careful Placement
We take great care in matching each Dane with a qualified, compassionate adopter who can provide safety, stability, and lifelong commitment.
On average, we invest approximately $600 into every Great Dane or Dane mix who enters our program — often much more for dogs requiring medical or behavioral rehabilitation. Donations and adoption support allow us to continue delivering this level of care and giving these gentle giants a true second chance.
How We Help People
Matching Dogs to Lifestyles
We help individuals and families determine whether a Great Dane — or dog ownership in general — fits their lifestyle, experience, and long-term responsibilities.
Finding the Right Companion
We thoughtfully match healthy, rehabilitated Danes with adopters to ensure lasting, successful placements tailored to each family’s unique circumstances.
Rehoming with Dignity
When life circumstances change, we assist owners in responsibly rehoming their Danes, ensuring they continue to receive the care and love they deserve.
Giant Breed Education
We educate owners about the unique needs of giant breeds, including health considerations, nutrition, training, and behavior management.
Behavior & Health Guidance
We offer support and practical guidance for families navigating behavioral or medical challenges with their Danes.
Compassion in Grief
We stand beside families experiencing the loss of a beloved pet, offering empathy, understanding, and support during difficult times.
Community Impact
By stepping in to rescue and rehabilitate giant breeds, we reduce the strain on public shelters and help conserve valuable community resources and tax dollars.
Ongoing Support
We remain a trusted resource for guidance and mentorship wherever we are qualified, empowering owners to be confident, responsible guardians.
