Some dogs make friends everywhere they go. Goose is one of those dogs.

At just 1½ years old, this goofy, lovable boy has never met a stranger he didn't want to befriend. Dogs? Absolutely. People? Without a doubt. Apparently, even the neighborhood possum has made his list of companions. If it has a heartbeat, Goose assumes it's a potential best friend.

Goose's owner recently began working 12-hour shifts and realized that this young, active dog deserves more time, attention, and opportunities to enjoy life. Making the decision to rehome him hasn't been easy, but it is being made out of love and with Goose's best interests at heart.

Now, Goose is looking for a family who will embrace his playful personality and help him continue growing into the incredible dog he's already becoming.

• Walks well on leash

• Loves other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion

• Great with adults and older children (6+) due to his size and enthusiastic greetings

• Affectionate and cuddly once he's had a chance to burn off his puppy energy

Goose is a happy, social boy who genuinely enjoys being around people and other dogs. He loves playing, exploring, and being included in whatever his family is doing. Tennis balls are a favorite, while soccer balls are apparently where Goose draws the line. We're not asking questions.

Like many young dogs, Goose can get very excited when meeting new people and may jump up to say hello. His enthusiasm is part of his charm, but he'll benefit from a family willing to continue working on his manners and help him channel all that youthful energy in positive ways.

Goose would do best with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, structure, and affection. He has all the ingredients to become an incredible lifelong companion, and once the zoomies are over, he'll happily curl up beside you—or attempt to convince you that a dog his size absolutely belongs in your lap.
