Senior Girl Needs A Soft Landing

Location: Chuck Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center, Fort Worth, Texas

Ella is an approximately 8-year-old female Great Dane currently waiting at the shelter, hoping someone will give her the second chance she deserves. Weighing around 118 pounds, this beautiful senior girl is looking for safety, comfort, and a family willing to open their heart and home to her.

Ella is:
• Microchipped
• Spayed
• Heartworm negative
• Vaccinated (DAPPv and Rabies)

At this time, Ella is being treated for an upper respiratory infection (URI) at the shelter, and we are hopeful she will be feeling much better soon.

We are still awaiting her dog evaluation notes to learn more about how she interacts with other dogs.

However, Ella has no bite history and, from everything we know so far, appears to be a very sweet girl simply struggling with the stress of the shelter environment.

Senior dogs like Ella are so often overlooked, yet they deserve love, stability, and compassion just as much as puppies. Imagine finding yourself in a shelter at eight years old, uncertain of what comes next.
