Sometimes life changes in ways no one could have prepared for… and sweet Delilah is now looking for a soft place to land.

At approximately 7–8.5 years old, Delilah has already lived through more than her fair share. Years ago, she was found starving and abandoned behind a restaurant dumpster, emaciated, forgotten, and likely discarded after being used for breeding. Thankfully, someone chose to save her, and since then she has known love, safety, and family.

But now, due to major life changes in her family, Delilah needs a new chapter.

And honestly? This girl deserves the world.

Meet Delilah:

Docile, gentle and easy going. She loves affection and being near her people.

• Great in the car

• Dog friendly

• Cat friendly (mostly ignores them)

Delilah is the kind of girl who would happily sit beside you all day soaking up pets and head scratches. She loves walks and adventures, although she could use a little help polishing up her leash manners — this big girl gets excited!

We also want to be fully transparent so we can find her the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘁: Delilah had a medical episode over 1.5 years ago where she temporarily lost mobility. A neurologist suspected possible wobblers or a neck injury. After treatment with steroids and gabapentin, she recovered beautifully and has had 𝗻𝗼 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.

During meals, Delilah prefers her personal space and may guard food from other animals, so supervised feeding or separate feeding areas are recommended.

𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. She just needs someone willing to open their heart to a senior-ish girl who still has so much love left to give
