Meet Ice

Ice is a striking merle Great Dane with a tall, athletic build, a soft coat, and an unwavering devotion to his people. Intelligent, attentive, and deeply loyal, Ice is the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and looks to his person for guidance, connection, and companionship.

When you call Ice's name, he comes, sits, and locks eyes with you, ready for direction. He is highly engaged with his handler and genuinely enjoys working alongside the people he trusts. Like many Great Danes, Ice is affectionate in true giant-breed fashion, often leaning his full weight into those he loves as a way of showing his devotion.

Ice is neutered, crate trained, potty trained, and Sprenger collar trained. He has a solid training foundation and thrives in an environment where expectations are clear and leadership is consistent. He is eager to please and highly responsive, making him a rewarding companion for an experienced owner who appreciates an intelligent, relationship-focused dog.

Because Ice is both smart and active-minded, he needs more than just physical exercise. He benefits from mental stimulation, structure, and purposeful engagement. Without appropriate outlets, he can become bored and may look for his own ways to stay entertained. Durable chew items, routine, training activities, and consistent expectations help him remain happy and balanced.

Ice bonds deeply with his people and can become protective of human attention around other dogs. While he responds appropriately to fair correction and management, he is best suited as the only dog in the home where he can enjoy the undivided companionship he craves. Placement with an experienced owner who has a submissive large-breed female may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For the safety and success of everyone involved, Ice should not be placed with male dogs, small dogs, cats, rabbits, livestock, or other small animals.

Ice would do well with older, respectful children who understand how to interact appropriately with large dogs. Due to his size, training needs, and desire for structure, he is not recommended for first-time dog owners.

His ideal home is calm, stable, and led by a confident, experienced large-breed owner who is committed to maintaining his training and providing consistent leadership. In return, Ice offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship.

Ice has experienced significant changes throughout his life, but he continues to show resilience, trust, and a willingness to connect. With the right family, he will flourish into the devoted companion he was always meant to be.
