This sweet, sensitive dog is looking for a foster experienced with behaviorally sensitive dogs who understands that trust takes time and healing is a process. Nemo is a gentle giant with a kind heart. He is not aggressive, but new environments and unfamiliar people can be overwhelming for him. When he feels uncertain, he may react out of fear, which is why he needs a patient, calm, and experienced foster who can help him continue building confidence and security.

About Nemo

Nemo is:

  • Housebroken

  • Crate trained

  • Good on leash

  • Comfortable riding in the car

  • Moderate energy

  • Previously successful living with another dog

  • Loyal, affectionate, and deeply rewarding once he builds trust

What Nemo Needs

Nemo is not a “plug-and-play” dog. He will thrive in:

  • A calm, structured home environment

  • A foster home with experience handling behaviorally sensitive dogs

  • A setting that allows for slow introductions

  • A patient caregiver willing to let him decompress and build trust at his own pace

Nemo has already overcome significant challenges, including surgery recovery and heartworm treatment. Now he needs someone willing to give him the time, patience, and understanding he deserves.
