Drogi is a handsome 2-year-old Great Dane weighing approximately 115 pounds who is looking for a foster home where he can stretch out, relax, and simply be a dog.
Drogi is everything many people love about Great Danes. He is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly social. He makes friends quickly with new people and is known for offering the classic "Dane lean" within minutes of meeting someone. He enjoys leisurely walks, exploring new places, and spending time with his people. While he's always happy to head out on an adventure, he appreciates shorter outings during hot weather.
He is fully house-trained, walks well on leash, and is up to date on his vaccinations.
Drogi gets along well with both large and small dogs and has visited dog parks across the country with excellent manners. He typically greets unfamiliar dogs politely and enjoys canine companionship. While he may bark when meeting dogs while restrained on a tie-out, he has been making steady progress through training. He does not seek conflict but has learned to stand up for himself if another dog behaves aggressively toward him.
Because of a frightening experience with an aggressive child when he was younger, Drogi is cautious around children. He has had positive interactions with respectful, calm kids, but loud or unpredictable children make him uncomfortable. For that reason, he would do best in an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand his boundaries.
Drogi cannot live with cats or birds due to his prey drive.
His ideal foster home will provide:

Plenty of love, companionship, and patience as he adjusts.
Understanding of mild separation anxiety and a willingness to help him build confidence.
