Bruno is a happy-go-lucky young Great Dane with a heart as big as his paws. Full of energy, affection, and enthusiasm for life, Bruno is looking for a family that can match his playful spirit and give him the love he deserves.
Bruno's owner recently experienced significant life changes after losing their job and moving into an apartment where there simply isn't enough space for a growing Great Dane. While this decision was made with a heavy heart, everyone involved wants what is best for Bruno—a home where he can run, play, and continue being the joyful dog he was born to be.
This handsome boy has never met a stranger. Bruno is friendly, outgoing, and loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has no history of aggression. He enjoys playtime and would likely love having a canine companion who can keep up with his energy level. While he has never lived with children, he has spent time around kids ages 7–10 and has done very well with them.
Bruno is already off to a great start with his training. He is housebroken, crate trained, rides nicely in the car, and knows basic obedience commands. Like many young dogs, he still has a few things to learn. He can be enthusiastic on leash and may jump up to greet people when he's excited, but his intentions are always friendly. With continued training and consistency, he'll make an excellent canine citizen.
When it comes to toys, Bruno is a professional destroyer. If it squeaks, crinkles, or looks indestructible, Bruno sees it as a challenge. Fortunately, his enthusiasm is reserved for his toys—he is not otherwise destructive in the home.
Bruno can be a little vocal when left alone and may cry initially, but he settles down quickly once he realizes everything is okay.
One of Bruno's more amusing quirks happens every morning. He tends to drink water too quickly, throw it back up, and then immediately drink again without issue. His veterinarian has been made aware of this behavior and is not concerned.
Bruno's ideal home is one with room to stretch his long legs, burn off some puppy energy, and enjoy plenty of interaction with his people. Whether it's going for walks, playing in the yard, learning new things, or simply spending time together, Bruno is happiest when he's included in whatever his family is doing.
Most of all, Bruno is a loving companion who adores attention and is known for giving fantastic hugs. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a playful personality, a goofy smile, and endless affection to share, Bruno may be the perfect addition to your family.
