BANE

Location: Houston, TX

Bane is a big softy with an incredibly gentle and affectionate personality. This handsome boy absolutely loves his people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. Whether he's leaning his entire body against you, resting a paw on you, sitting half in your lap, or curling up for cuddles, Bane is happiest when he's with his humans.

Despite his size, Bane is remarkably gentle and takes treats beautifully. He has been friendly with everyone he's met so far and seems to genuinely enjoy human attention.

Around the house, Bane is a champion napper. He's perfectly content snoozing on his bed while you go about your day, but he also enjoys playtime and exercise. He loves chasing a ball, chewing on his toys, and has discovered that chasing ice cubes around the floor is excellent entertainment.

Bane is also a smart and attentive boy. He already knows "sit" and has shown that he can learn household boundaries quickly. After being taught that the bedroom was off-limits, he learned within a day to stop at the doorway and sit rather than following his people inside.

This boy is incredibly tuned into his humans. He follows his people around, listens when spoken to, gives adorable head tilts when something catches his attention, and will even happily sit and watch television with the family. He enjoys getting out and being active with his people, but he's equally happy settling in for a long nap afterward.

Bane is still working on leash manners and other basic skills, but he appears eager to learn and very responsive to his caregivers. He can be a little anxious at night, which is understandable given that he is fresh out of the shelter and adjusting to a completely new environment. With time, patience, and consistency, he's learning that he is safe.

Bane is looking for a loving home willing to continue helping him learn and settle into his new life. In return, you'll get a gentle, goofy, affectionate giant who would very much like to be your shadow.
